Game Walkthrough and Instructions:

Plant Tycoon is a gardening sim game where you nurture plants and experiment with increasingly rare and valuable species. The object of this tycoon game is to breed and cross breed plants until you find all the Magic Plants and solve the genetic puzzle. You start with a couple of dollars, a handful of seeds, some soil and water. Grow plants, organize and harvest seeds. Monitor the plants health, age and maturity and be careful of dehydration and infestations. Sell some of your creations to fund your research and to buy better supplies to use in your Nursery. If you have enough money you can buy ornaments and customize your virtual garden. Each magic plant will give you permanent enhancements and abilities that will bring fortune and fame to your Nursery. There are over 500 species of plants for you to discover, and each new species brings you closer to the ultimate goal of solving the genetic puzzle and discovering all of the Magic Plants of the island of Isola.

True Real-Time! Your plants will keep growing, even when your computer is off or you are not playing the game.

There are 5 major screens in Plant Tycoon:

1) THE MAIN SCREEN: This is your greenhouse, where you plant, nurture, and breed your plants. You can also set prices and select which plants to sell.

2) THE SEED STORAGE: This is where you store and organize seeds. Move the cursor over a seed to see its parents.As you breed different plants, you will often harvest seeds that will grow new species. You start with one seedbox and you can later buy more space.

3) THE GARDENING SUPPLIES: This is where you shop for tool upgrades, chemicals, seeds, and improvements for your nursery. New seeds are stocked in the shop once a day!

4) THE COLLECT SCREEN See the fun bugs you caught in your greenhouse. Bug collecting is optional.

5) THE NURSERY: Watch visitors as they browse the plants you have for sale. Your plants will sell only when you are in the nursery screen. If a plant is not selling, it may be priced too high, or it may be infested or need to be pruned.

The abc's of Virtual Gardening in Plant Tycoon:


	ADD SOIL Drag soil from the Tool Tray to an empty pot.

	WATER SOIL Pick up the watering can from the Tool Tray, drag it to the pot, and click to water the soil. Now the pot has soft, moist soil.


	PLANT A SEED Drag a seed from the Seed Tray and drop it into the prepared pot.

	TRUE REAL-TIME! It will take time for this plant to grow. Remember, though, that in Plant Tycoon plants grow whether you are playing or not - even when your computer is off. The seed should sprout within about 10 minutes.

POLLINATE
You can pollinate plants when they are fully grown and mature. Drag the pollen to the same plant to produce seeds that will grow more of that plant (self-pollination) or drag it to a different mature plant to see what new plant you might discover (cross-pollination).


	HARVEST SEEDS Within a short time, seeds will appear. You can drag the seeds to your Seed Tray or directly to a pot containing moist soil.

PRICE PLANTS
The price that appears when a seed is planted is your best guess of the plant’s value. Click the Price button to change it.


	SELL PLANTS Select the plant that you want to sell and click the Sell button, which will place a sale tag on the pot. If you change your mind, click the button again to remove the tag. Click the Nursery button and watch to see if anyone buys your creation. Plants can be sold only when you are in the nursery.

	PRUNING Sometimes it is desirable or necessary to prune your plants. Use your pruning shears to carefully trim off brown and dead leaves, and your plants will sell for more. You can also trim off healthy foliage to shape plants to your liking. NOTE: Cheap shears may damage your plant, even when trimming dead leaves. Upgrade your shears as soon as you can!

COLLECTING BUGS
Small bugs occasionally appear around your plants in the greenhouse. You can grab your net and try to catch them, if you like, to add them to your collection. When you catch duplicate bugs, they are automatically sold to provide income.

SNAPSHOTS
If you want a little diversion, you can take snapshots of your magnificent floral creations and share them with your friends.

		THE 6 MAGIC PLANTS OF ISOLA Remember that your ultimate goal is to find the 6 Magic Plants. To discover these plants, you will need to solve the genetic puzzle by cross-breeding different species!
